Search doesn't find the results

Hi all

We have the new confluence version 7.4.1. There is a new search and we found a problem.

We have a page, called: "LANDI Lösung Rapportierungsrichtlinien"

When I search with "Rapportierungsri" --> No results
When I search with "Rapportierungsri*" --> correct results
When I search with "Rapportierungsrichtlinien" --> correct results

In the earlier version I thought it found the results without a wildcard.

Isn't it a fulltext search?

Hello @Dominic Lagger !

As I understand, partial word only works if you use wildcards.

This behavior has been listed here as a Suggestion:

• [Confluence Server] Confluence 6.14+ should allow partial matches in search

Currently, if we want to have results based on partial words the usage of wildcards is needed.

The best course of action would be to vote and watch the report linked here. Voting for it helps to increase the visibility and watching it will keep you up to date with everything posted there.

Thanks for your response. 

I've votet for this suggestion.

I'm not clear why this is not a bug, because it worked before 6.14 ... So something that worked before and doesn't now, that is clearly a bug.
