SQL Express Support

The compatibility guide doesn't explicitly call out specific MS SQL editions. Is MS SQL 2012 express supported?

MS SQL 2012 is in the compatibility guide, so it should work. Confluence isn't doing anything specifically that would require Standard or Enterprise that I know of. You would just need to make sure you stay under the DB size limit for Express.

For MS SQL 2012 Express the DB size limit is 10GB.

Nope, if it's not in the compatibility guide, it is not supported.

It does tend to work ok, but you can't rely on it, and if you have any problems, the response will be "move to a supported database"
