I keep running into this error. If I wait and try again later, the move succeeds, but the same error appears when I try to move another page.
We’re having issues moving this content. Refresh and try again; if that doesn’t solve the issue, please contact support."
Hi @Rohit Karanam,
This is a known intermittent issue in Confluence Cloud, usually related to rate limiting or background processing when moving pages, especially if you're moving several pages in a short period.
A few things you can check:
Are the pages large or have many attachments?
Heavy pages take longer to process and can trigger the error.
Are you moving pages with deep child hierarchies?
Moving a parent with many children can hit timeouts.
Permissions on the destination space
Make sure you have full create/edit permissions in the target space.
Since the move does succeed when you retry after waiting, it's very likely a transient rate-limit or queue issue on Atlassian's side.
If it's consistently happening and blocking your work, I'd recommend:
Hope that helps!
If @Rohit Karanam the issue is attachments as @Cristian Quiroz is suggesting it might be we have a tool to deal with attachments in bulk - Attachment Manager.
In this case think about:
1. deleting old versions
2. deleting large unnecessary attachments
Two of the features of the app.

Hi @Rohit Karanam ,
On top of what Cristian said, there are these two bug reports that are related to moving pages/content and timeouts:
But yeah... if it happens occasionally (even after waiting some time), the best course of action would be to reach out to the support team for them to check how things look from a backend perspective. 👀
Cheers,
Tobi
