Has any of you succesfully connected Rovo app into Microsoft Teams app? I used below instuction but haven't gone too far :-( Can't make my Teams app to install Rovo app (it's not visible in app list).

https://support.atlassian.com/rovo/docs/using-rovo-for-microsoft-teams/#Commands-to-use-with-Rovo

According to the instuction:

Set up Rovo in Microsoft Teams

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.

  2. Go to Apps in the left sidebar.

  3. Search for Rovo.

  4. Select Add. Rovo will automatically connect to your Atlassian site.

  5. If you have access to multiple sites, select Switch site in the welcome card sent by Rovo.

  6. Pick your organization’s site (for example, your-site.atlassian.net) and select Save.

It fails on point 3. Did all the settings correctly on Office365 side.

Anybody implemented this?

Hey @Witold Draftway - welcome to the Community,

I think there is a bit of a confusion with @Tomislav Tobijas answer. He describes is the Rovo Connector, that indexes Teams Data for Rovo to use.

What you are asking describes the App that allows users to call Rovo Actions right from MS Teams. It will only work with Data that Rovo has access to, not neccesarily including any MS data.

At least that's how I understand it. It's similar to the MS Teams Integration available via Jira space settings vs. the Jira Cloud App in MS Teams.

I can also not find any Rovo App in my Teams Tenant. I'll check with my Admins if they can see it anywhere.

Hey @Witold Draftway ,

I'm going to move this to the Rovo forum group for someone to maybe jump in.

I've got a Microsoft Dev environment set up for other Rovo integrations, so I could try testing this out in a day or 2.

A question here is: Are you a Microsoft 365 admin? Can you or another Microsoft admin check whether the Rovo app is allowed in your Teams tenant? If it's not, the admin needs to enable or approve the Rovo app. 👈

Cheers,
Tobi

Quick update - so I've navigated to admin.atlassian.com > Apps > AI settings > Rovo and simply selected the connector from there. If you follow this, it should only ask you to input the connector name and enter the tenant ID (which can be found if you navigate to Azure Portal > Entra ID (overview page)). Once you input that, you will be redirected to accept all permissions on the Microsoft side (so you need to have a Microsoft admin account to make this connection), and once you finish that, it should be good to go.

I did the same thing with SharePoint, and it all worked as expected. Just to be clear, I'm still exploring this part, but this should establish a general connection between the Microsoft tenant and Rovo, which then propagates to all Atlassian users who choose to use it.
