The new editor is terrible, and we need the Old Editor due to the extra flexibility. The version 6.9.3 is the best UI. How do we accomplish this on the free plan? If confluence cannot fix this there is no point in upgrading and using the product since the new UI is just horrible. It doesn't even look nice, and my team agrees that the older version had better looking design philosophies. What is going on over at Atlassian? Are they even taking in user feedback about this issue? It appears to go back several years and they keep pushing this "modern" UI. But it isn't good, and pushes away a lot of users. At my primary company of 100+ users, we actually stopped upgrading confluence beyond 6.9.x for this reason as well. Is Atlassian in denial of this or are they just being arrogant about the new design being "superior". A reality check is needed. Sorry for the rant but after talking with so many different users, 99/100 are agreeing this new UI is not better.
Hi Joseph,
Hope you are doing well!
I have created a ticket on your behalf with our Technical Support in order to see the possibility to enable the Legacy editor for your site.
Please feel free to add any comments on the ticket JST-766880 , you should receive a message there soon! :)
Kindest Regards,
Jessica
Hey @Joseph Petro
We have created the ticket JST-766880 and we have engaged with you there, but it was closed as a timeout.
If you are still interested in the legacy editor, please feel free to re-open the ticket and we will resume it from there.
Cheers,
Jessica

@Joseph Petro Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I can escalate this issue to Atlassian since you are on the free plan to see if they can make the change for you to the legacy editor.
Atlassian moved to a new editor in order to start over and eventually expand the editors capabilities. It has been a large step back but hopefully in the long run it will be better. They have been investing a lot of time in it and improvements have come quite frequently but it does have a long way to go.

Thank you Brant, this is exactly what we require. We've been wondering why this isn't an option for the customer to activate on the admin side of things (especially is we upgraded the plan).
Also, when should we expect the change to be pushed out to our account?
