Is there any way to restrict who can reorder pages? We would like a group of people to be able to edit pages but not to reorder the pages in the space. Any help would be appreciated.
This would be a great feature for Confluence. We have run into issues with users (that have edit permissions) reordering pages that should not be reordered. Without an audit log of who and when pages are reordered, it's difficult to manage this.
- offer granular permissions to limit reordering of pages, even if the person has edit permissions
- add audit log for pages that are reordered
Hi Linda,
From the Atlassian documentation, these are the permissions needed to move/reorder pages:
To move a page, you need the following permissions:
To move a page into a different space, you also need:
If the page has restrictions, and you want to keep the page restrictions in the new location, you'll also need 'Restrict' permission on the space you're moving to. Alternatively, remove the page restrictions before performing the move.
Hope it helps,
Carlos

Thank you Carlos. My problem is that I need to allow people to edit the pages in the space - but I don't want them to be able to reorder the pages.... So I assume that if they can add we can't stop them having the ability to reorder.
