If we give external individuals public access to a space, how do we avoid showing items like 'Create Space', etc which are irrelevant and not applicable to external users we have given access to view the space.

Another option would be to use my team's app Scroll Viewport to have a totally custom view of your content. The app includes the Help Center theme which is geared toward readability and customizability.

You can see it in action on our help site.

Hi @Ollie Guan ,

Basically when a public user who can access the space without logging in, the Create Space button is still displayed. If they click the button it tells them they cannot create a space, but it would be easier if the button was not just displayed. Obviously for our own staff we need them to create spaces when necessary, but if we are giving an external user with no login the ability to view our documents, we would like to not display the editing capabilities.

Hi @Greg Parsons ,

Do you mean creating pages or creating spaces here?

Permission to create space is controlled by the system administrator in the global permissions.

The page creation permission is controlled by the space administrator in the space permissions.

As an example.   We have set the global permissions to allow anonymous access.

We then restrict the space and pages to view for everyone.

The space specific permission for anonymous users is set to view only.

However, an anonymous user can view the page, create comments, look at archived pages.   It's not good.
