Reference generator and GED functions

Hello 

I want to create and archive a document in Confluence 7.17.0

I am wondering if a tool exists to create a Reference ID for documents , so that we can identify uniquely the document like a primary key.

Are there plug-ins ? ISO 690 generator ? or others ? 

Generally speaking, what are the GED fonctions embedded in the confluence system?
