Hello Atlassian Support Team,
My name is Abdullah Algharsi, and I am the site administrator for greenland.atlassian.net (email: algharsi11@gmail.com).
On September 17, 2025, I received an email notifying me that my Jira app on this site would be deactivated due to inactivity. Today, I reactivated my account and received a confirmation email that my Confluence (Free) subscription was reactivated (reference: E-43A-8YZ-JF8-CU2).
However, when I logged in after reactivation, all of my previous Jira and Confluence data appears to be missing. It seems that a new empty instance has been created instead of restoring the original data.
Could you please check whether my previous site data (Jira and Confluence content) can still be restored or if it was permanently deleted?
I would really appreciate any help or clarification on the current data retention and recovery options.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
@algharsi algharsi Just so you know, you have posted this to the community of users of Atlassian products who try to help each other out with questions and issues; we are not the Atlassian Support Team.
I see in your question that you received the email September 17th and reactivated today (October 24th). According to this page: https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/reactivate-a-subscription/
Your app’s data is retained for 15 days (for free subscriptions) or 60 days (for paid subscriptions) after cancellation. If you reactive your subscription within this data retention period, your app's data and preferences will be restored.
At the end of the data retention period, your app’s data will be permanently deleted and can’t be recovered. Read our Data Storage FAQs for more information.
After reactivating the Atlassian Cloud site, all previous Jira and Confluence data is missing. It looks like a new empty instance was created instead of restoring my original data. Can someone confirm if the old data can still be recovered or if it’s permanently deleted?

Thanks a lot, Benjamin, for your insights. I have created a ticket to Atlassian, and still no response from them. I hope someone can check that as soon as possible
