Recently I've tried to export a page from Confluence to PDF. Page contains some text in Cyrillic as well as English text and pictures. In exported PDF some of Cyrillic characters are italic and i don't know why. I have tried many Fonts - Arial, Calibri, DejaVu - but with same issue :
Hi Arthur,
It could be the PDF font.
Have a look at Create a PDF in another language.
I would recommend uploading just a regular .ttf of your desired font there and test it with that. Then, if that works, you can try uploading a .ttc of all styles (e.g. bold, italics, etc.)
Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Arthur,
This is a separate issue, and is reported as the following bug:
To work around it you would have to not use it within the pre-formatted code macro.
In the meantime, could you add a vote to that bug in order to help show the number of users encountering the issue? It will help to properly prioritize it.
Thank you!
Shannon
