Preventing Sharepoint searches by space?

For the Sharepoint Connector:

Is there a way to allow one space to search a Sharepoint site while preventing other spaces from searching it?

Right now the "Search Sharepoint & Confluence" drop down appears in all of our spaces. The issue is searchable access to the Sharepoint is really only wanted in one space but not others.

I'm afraid there's no way to specify this. Once you configured SharePoint Search Integration Settings, it will appear in Confluence header in all spaces/pages and even in Administration Console. I found an improvement request to re-implement the ability to enable/disable Sharepoint integrated search on a per-space basis as tracked here: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/CSI-686 however this improvement request is closed as 'Won't Fix' due to the users lack of interest in this functionality.

In that case, do you know if there is a way to add a search box that searches only confluence without having to select it from the drop down?

Do you happen to know by chance why the 'Search Sharepont & Confluence' option would only return sharepoint results on our installation? Is there some configuration I'm missing?
