Hello,
I am using a Confluence page for a presentation in presenter mode. I have followed all the tips and videos to do it properly. The problem arises when starting presenter mode: the navigation between sections isn’t functioning correctly (neither by clicking on the list or using the arrows or spaces of the keyboard). Instead of moving to the correct section, it always jumps to content above or below.
I really need to present using Confluence, as I thought it was working. However, now that I have everything set up, presenter mode is not working on my computer or on my colleagues' systems either.
Hello all, I experience exactly the same issue with the presenter mode as @Maria Mas does. Neither using the keyboard works well, nor does clicking on the sections list reveal the chosen section properly.
It is always cut off at the top as if the calculated positions did not match the screen sizes.
But I tried all "tricks" with different screens and different zoom factors already.
The only workaround I found: clicking on a section in the sections list 3-4 times corrects the display and the sections is displayed properly then...
... the negative side-effect of this is, that the audience might feel sea-sick after a few sections because the screen scrolls up/down /up/down until it settles in the right position :-/
So I would advise not to do this in "important" presentations to not confuse the audience... but maybe this behavior helps finding the bug?
Hi Axel,
Thank you for sharing your experience with the presenter mode. I have arrived to the same conclusion that the only option is clicking 3-4 times to the section and the jump to section function is working. But as you said, this could not be used for professional or customer meetings.
The only solution that I will use today (because I have the meeting this afternoon) is using the Firefox browser. But hope this is solved soon. There is a bug where we can add comments and vote, I did it before. Find the bug here: CONFCLOUD-79458 bug
Thank you!

oh thank you so much for pointing me to the bug information and for explaining that Firefox behaves well in presenter mode! This is an acceptable workaround ;)
Thanks a lot! :)
Good luck for your presentation! 👍

Hi @Maria Mas welcome to the community. On my instance, I think I can reproduce the behavior you are seeing in Presenter Mode when using the mouse. I'm not seeing the issue when using the keyboard. Using the keyboard, it's navigating from section to section. I'm not able to click on a specific section and get it to highlight when using the mouse.
I'm also reviewing this Knowledge Article and it appears you're not supposed to be able to click on a section. The mouse is meant to be a pointer.
Could your issue be the Jump to Section functionality?
Hope that helps.

Yes, I am referring to the jump to section functionality.
Whenever I’m in presenter mode (and I want to highlight the content and grey out the other parts) and use both the keyboard space bar and the left/right arrow keys, as well as clicking on the section icon in the list of sections (to navigate between sections), it does not move to the appropriate place. It either shows above or below the correct section.
The section icon that I mean is the one on the right side of the arrows:
