Possible to show inline comments even when they are in collapsed sections?

Is it possible to have the show inline comments button show all the inline comments, even the ones in a collapsed section of a page?

Confluence doesn't currently have a way to show inline comments from collapsed sections using the "Show Inline Comments" button. This is because comments in collapsed sections often load dynamically for performance reasons.

There's an open feature request where others have highlighted this issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-36415. I encourage you to add your vote and comments to it so Atlassian understands the impact.

In the meantime, here are a couple of workarounds:

• Expand sections: The easiest way is to expand the sections where you expect comments.
• Page history: You can view all page comments (regardless of collapse status) in the page's history, but they won't be in context.
