Pie Chart formatting in Confluence from JIRA

Andrea Brown
May 16, 2025

When we view the pie chart in Confluence from JIRA, it has an extended box under the pie chart, taking up space. Our team is looking for a cleaner look.  Is there a way to get the additional box area to not show under the pie chart in Confluence?

Hello @Andrea Brown

Can you provide a screen capture, because I don't have the same behavior, I don't have this extended box under the pie chart of Jira issue.

Do you see how there is space under the line (this is how it is viewed in Confluence? Can that lower area be removed so that we can use the space on the page efficiently?

Are you able to see the screen shot?

Hi @Andrea Brown

Sorry for the delay of my answer.

It seems that you are not using the native Confluence macro jira Chart but inserting the Jira Pie Chart Gadget (use originally in a Jira Dashboard)

So on the gadget you can do nothing, but there is another solution ! You should use the native confluence Jira macro.

In your Confluence page, insert the macro jira charts

and fill the same parameters than those you put in the Jira Gadget.
