Hello,

Attempting to expose a space on Confluence for a KB to be available for customers via Service Desk. When I update the settings in the specific Confluence space that will be the basis for my KB I get this error:

Anonymous users can't view this space because global anonymous 'Use Confluence' permission is currently turned off.
Go to global permissions to grant anonymous users permission to use Confluence.

I'm hesitant to set the global permission to allow open access to the entire Internet if there is a risk that this will expose more than just the space that will be used for my KB.

Any advice on how to manage this? My Service Desk users are known users onboarded to SD but not known to Confluence.

Hi @pkilkelly ,

there are two level of permissions :

  • global
  • space

If you grant anonymous users to access your instance, they will be able to see space contents just if the anonymous access has been defined at space level. Please check space permissions for each existing space before.

Hope this helps,

Fabio
