Hi!
I am migrating to the cloud version, and I am a bit confused about the restrictions for who may see my Scroll Viewport site. On the Server version one can configure the need of credentials to access the Scroll Viewport content (https://help.k15t.com/scroll-viewport-data-center/2.22.0/set-viewing-permissions)
For Scroll Documents, it is written: "When you publish a document to a Viewport site, you can not determine who exactly can view the content. All of your document will be publicly available on the web under your specified site URL." (https://help.k15t.com/scroll-docs/3.16/cloud/manage-restrictions)
Does that mean that using Scroll Documents I can't use the permissions described in https://help.k15t.com/scroll-viewport-data-center/2.22.0/set-viewing-permissions, and all my Scroll Viewport content will be publicly accessible?
Thanks!
Hi @Maria Petkova,
You can decide whether you want your Viewport site to be fully public or restricted. As for authentication methods Viewport supports for example SAML and token-based access. User-based permissions that you set up in Confluence do not carry over to your Viewport site. You can only decide whether a page is published in your site or not by setting the permissions of the "Scroll Viewport" app user. You can find more details here: https://help.k15t.com/scroll-viewport/set-up-authenticated-access
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Sven
