Is there a way to configure the People Directory page to only show member for the groups that the user has permission to? Currenly all groups show all of the users (people) that have access right for any group in the system.

This is a long-standing feature request for Confluence: CONF-7837. Please vote/watch/comment on the issue as you see fit.
As a workaround, if you would like the People Directory in your OnDemand instance hidden, you can contact Support and we can do this for you.
