Pages with a lot of comments are slow

We have a few pages that contain a lot of comments (around 130) as well as attachments and links to other confluence-pages.

We are wondering if it is possible to preload the latest comments and show the rest after pushing a button of sorts? 

Any ideas?

this sounds like a new requirement. Best you have a look at https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa and search for already existing Suggestions. If you found one, vote for it, otherwise create a news one.
