Page creation fails

I am trying to create a page in a space where I have full access rights (verified).  When pressing the page creation button, the page will appear to be bringing up the editor but will spin forever and eventually give the following error box:

"Something went wrong after loading the editor. Copy your unsaved changes and refresh the page to keep editing."

I see that a draft is created for my user account, however, if I try to resume editing that draft, it will spin forever.

Anyone have any thoughts here?

I traced this down to the draft page being created, but the editor unable to connect to the draft.  After some research here, it seems this is due to a synchrony configuration issue.  Turning off collaborative editing mode solved the problem as a workaround.  The permanent fix is to address the underlying synchrony issue.
