Confluence MCP & AI Space Access

• How Analytics Tracks Views: Confluence Analytics measures front-end UI page loads (i.e., when a user opens and renders a page in their web browser or mobile app).
• MCP / API Behaviour: When an AI agent uses the Confluence Model Context Protocol (MCP) server or REST APIs, it retrieves underlying JSON content via direct API requests. It does not render the page in the Confluence web UI.
• Impact on Data: Your analytics will not be skewed. Machine reads, programmatic searches, and automated indexing via MCP do not register as page views, unique viewers, or engagement metrics.

Atlassian Rovo Searches

• Page View Impact: No. Searching via Rovo or allowing Rovo to synthesise information from Confluence docs does not register as a page view or add the user as a Unique Viewer on those underlying pages.
• How Rovo Data is Measured: Atlassian keeps AI activity completely separate from UI content analytics. Rovo activity is tracked in its own dedicated administrative section Atlassian Administration > Rovo > Rovo Insights which logs unique AI users, agent runs, and interaction trends without inflating your Confluence page analytics.
