Page Properties Report returning limited results

If the native Content Properties Report continues to return only part of the results, there is an alternative you may want to try.

Simple Tables can use Page Properties as a data source and display the collected information in a table where you can search, filter, sort, group and export the results. I’ve recorded a short video so you can see how the integration works in practice.

Hi @Nathan Unsworth, I can see two possible reasons behind this issue: Either you have hit the limit of pages displayed, because the native Content Properties Report macro doesn't show unlimited number of pages. Or if your pages span across multiple spaces, the report's space scope might not be set to cover all of them, and you only get pages from the current space.

If you hit the limit, unfortunately there is no workaround, unless you use a Marketplace app. If you are open to this solution, I can recommend Properties. Full disclosure: I am affiliated with the team behind the app. 

Its Property Reports don't carry the same hard result limit, and you can scope them across any combination of spaces and labels. The report aggregates data from pages using Property Groups (reusable typed field schemas you define once), and you can filter, sort, and even edit values inline directly from the report view without opening individual pages.

The main trade-off is that you'd be migrating from native Content Properties macros to Property Group macros from the app, and existing pages would need to be updated to use the new schema. However, it would give you additional advantages on top of the reports, such as structured data, and a live sync. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. 

On top of what Brant and Rob said, I'm aware that there's this limitation/issue but it's mostly related to really big datasets (e.g., 1k+ elements): CONFCLOUD-84296: Page Properties Report macro returns unstable, incomplete results on large datasets 👀

I haven't seen similar behavior on lists with around 100 results.

Generally, this whole macro could be refreshed, as it looks pretty much the same as a decade ago 😅

Heya @Nathan Unsworth  - to expand on @Brant Schroeder 's comment I'd be curious what other filters happen to be in place (click "more options")?

Also curious if you've tried other testing? e.g. 

1. Copy/paste the macro into a new space

2. Try a different label
