I want to open external links in a new window for Confluence On Demand. How do I do that? Thank you!

Hi Trish,

I'm sorry to say that this isn't possible on the OnDemand platform as this would require a customisation that is considered to be a restricted function. However, in the event that you were a self-hosted customer then you would be able to implement the following solution to allow external links to open in a new tab: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DISC/Open+Link+in+New+Tab

However, for OnDemand customers we do have an open feature request to ask that tabs should be opened in new tabs so I would also recommend that you watch/vote/comment that ticket so that you are kept updated with progress and also to encourage our developers to prioritise its implementation: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AOD-5982

All the best,
John
