Odd TOC Behavior

Tom Witherspoon September 9, 2021

I have noticed that when I click a link in a page's TOC, the link takes me to the content just fine. But my screen does not display the heading which I clicked. It displays the first line of content below the heading, but not the heading itself. Is this known behavior, or can it be fixed?

Hi @Tom Witherspoon and welcome!!

That's strange, because on my instance the TOC takes me to the heading and not to the next line. Just to make it clear. You are talking about TOC and not about anchor points, right?

Correct.

Hi @Tom Witherspoon ,

I've just tested this on my own Confluence Cloud site and it actually works fine : when I click on a link in the TOC, it takes me exactly on that title.

I'm on Safari on MacOS, so maybe you should try another browser, or updating your current browser.

Let me know if this helps,

Thanks, I will.

I just checked my page on Firefox and it works fine. This appears to be a Chrome thing.
