I set up Confluence to use JIRA for authentification and it worked for a few days. As a user wasn't synced after i changed his username, i used the "test"-Option for the user-directory in confluence and since that moment NO user can login into confluence anymore - no JIRA-User, no local-confluence-user - NOBODY!
So I can't access the confluence-webinterface at all - only console-access is possible.
Any login attempts are refused. Log says "login login : 'thomas' tried to login but they do not have USE permission or weren't found. Deleting remember me cookie."
Any ideas how to gain access (as an admin)? Without loosing all my pages?
Thanks in advance
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Can Confluence admin login to Confluence ? Only user with "Can use" permission are able to log in to Confluence. What you can check is, login Confluence as a Confluence administrator, verify if the user from JIRA is being assign to a group, and check if the group had being assigned with "can use" permission in Global permission page.
If you cannot login as a Confluence admin, you can regain your access by following the guide below, to reset the password back to default (admin) in database :

Thanks for the link - that did the job as absolutely no user was able to login. I'm back in the system now. Greetings from Germany Thomas
