I'm really inexperienced with Confluence and general IT concepts. I have Confluence (Trial version) installed on my personal computer and I want to share it with a family member in my house. I sent them a link and they created an account. However, though they are listed as a user in Confluence, they cannot access anything from a different device. In other words, my family members cannot access Confluence unless they are using my personal computer.
So, what can I do to allow other users to access Confluence on their own devices?
This sounds like you are running Confluence locally on your machine and have not set it up to allow remote access. What is the address you are trying to get your family to use?
When I click on the share button, it allows me to copy and paste a link to allow users to access the Confluence dashboard. However, it is defaulted to localhost:8090. How would I go about changing the link?
I'm aware that I could change the Server Base URL, but this seems like more of a networking setup that will fix my problem.
