Need to switch the database server for Confluence

I want to switch the existing database server of confluence to new database server.

After modifying confluence.cfg.xml and pointing to new database server I'm getting

"HTTP Status 500 - java.lang.NullPointerException"

Please help me.

What database server are you switching to?

I'm switching to Microsoft SQL server 2008 (Same as existing).
