I have the following Space permissions set up:
COMMENTS
ADD DELETE
Administrators ✔️ ✔️
confluence-users ✔️ x
site-admins ✔️ ✔️
The comment section had been removed from the page when the pace was first set up. I would now like the comments section back on the pages in this space. How do I get it back?
Hi Tammy,
There's no current feature in Confluence Cloud that would allow someone to remove the comments section from a space.
Could you let me know how you were able to accomplish it previously if you are indeed on Confluence Cloud?
I'd also like to be able to take a look at your Cloud instance. I can access it in order to troubleshoot, but I just need to verify if it's the same one associated with your email address (ie***a.atlassian.net) I've censored the URL but can you confirm if that is the same instance?
If I may, which space is this in regards to, and what is your username?
Regards,
Shannon
You have the correct instance.
The space called AGENTS has comments enabled.
The following spaces do not:
I think when I created the first pages, I created as BLANK pages and removed all sections.

Tammy,
When a page is set as the Overview (home) page of a space, it's not possible to comment on.
I checked the spaces you listed as having disabled comments, but the only pages where it's not possible to comment on is the homepage, which is expected behavior.
In fact, I raised a feature request for this last year:
I've confirmed that even if I set a separate page as the homepage, comments are disabled on that page only.
Comments are still possible on all of the other pages within those spaces.
As for your AGENTS space, I'm baffled here. I do see on the overview page you have a comment where you said that comments were now enabled. Is this a change you made recently?
I tried to see if by editing the page I can see maybe if the newer editor is behind it, but due to page restrictions I'm not able to test.
This would require a support ticket for us to get any further with your case. You can raise one at support.atlassian.com, or if you have trouble, please let me know and I can do it for you. I would ask that you include a link to this thread, so they can follow with what we've done so far and so that they don't ask you the same things over again.
Let me know if you have any trouble.
Regards,
Shannon
