  1. HOW DO I SET TO DEFAULT SETTINGS ? - To fix this, your Confluence Cloud site will need to be set to the default settings.
  2. DONE - Then you will need to remove all user accounts from the Cloud instance EXCEPT for the one that was created along with the Cloud instance, which should be under your current email address. The username for this account will need to be changed to the one you are using on your source instance.
  3. DONE - Finally, all groups need to be removed on the Cloud instance besides the default ones of administratorsconfluence-users, and site-admins.

Juan,

I'm sorry for the confusion, but I mentioned in my last post that I wanted you to let me know when you were ready for me to reset Confluence for you. This is because I need to do it for you from my end.

Could you confirm if it's safe for me to completely reset your Confluence Cloud instance at this time? Then we can proceed.

Regards,
Shannon

Hello Juan,

Confluence has now been reset to default. In order to do so, I needed to temporarily activate Jira and delete Confluence, so you might get a message about your Jira trial.

Don't worry about this as I've removed Jira again once Confluence was added back.

Before importing, please log into the Cloud instance and make sure you change your username there to match the one on your Server instance.

After you've done that, you can then proceed with the import.

Regards,

Shannon

Juan,

Is this a full site import that you're doing, or space only?

If it's space only, can you make sure that user exists on the destination instance first?

Juan,

Thank you for confirming. I had a look at the logs on your Cloud site, and it appears you're running into this error first:

Which is causing this error:

To fix this, we need to complete the following:

  1. To fix this, your Confluence Cloud site will need to be set to the default settings.
  2. Then you will need to remove all user accounts from the Cloud instance EXCEPT for the one that was created along with the Cloud instance, which should be under your current email address. The username for this account will need to be changed to the one you are using on your source instance.
  3. Finally, all groups need to be removed on the Cloud instance besides the default ones of administratorsconfluence-users, and site-admins.
  4. Once that is done, we will need to restart your instance.
  5. At this time, you can reattempt your import.

When you're ready to proceed and want me to reset your Cloud instance, please let me know. I can see that the email address you're posting with is the same as the primary contact on your Cloud instance so this is safe to use for verification.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Shannon
