Migration from Server to Data Center

MEDITECH ADMIN TEAM

Looking for any gotcha's or things learned in hindsight from migrating Jira/Confluence to data center.  Did the migration go smooth? How long did it take?  How was performance for end users afterward?  Is your organization happy with the results and new features such as HA, rate limiting, etc.  Thanks for any feedback!

Confluence version = 7.4.6

Jira version = 8.5.9

@MEDITECH ADMIN TEAM

You can purchase the DC license and still use one single node.

The one cool thing I experienced with DC is that I was able to upgrade Jira on each node without making Jira unavailable for my customer at any time.

Only you can answer how long it will take, by following Atlassian Documentation and trying the migration in a lower environment

Honestly once you follow Atlassian best practices and try to have few admins for your instance you shouldn't experience any slowness.

Best,

Fadoua
