Hello Community,
i have a question regarding a migration in need to do.
we have Confluence cloud from company A and we need to migrate it to company B.
my question is:
since the users are the same users but they have different domain in company A and company B, how can i adjust them so when they will log in with company B domain, they will get the spaces they are in company A.
Thanks,
Ariel
Hello @arielei
Do you mean that in the source site users access data with a login like user1@source.com and in the destination site the same person accesses data with a login like userA@destination.com?
If so, currently there is no automated method available to customers to merge separate Atlassian Cloud accounts into a single account.
In the source site you would need to invite the accounts from destination, give that account the same permissions as the source account, and change page ownerships from the source accounts to the destination accounts. Or you can do the same work on the destination site after transferring the source data including the users.
The history associated with the source users can't be changed to the destination accounts.
Hello @Trudy P Claspill
No, this is not what i mean, let me explain:
I have a user with ID: ABC
the email of it is bob@domain1.com
Now, i'm migrating his pages to domain2 and his email will change to bob@domain2.com
So i want to change the email for the ID: ABC

Thank you for that additional information @arielei
I am unclear if you are trying
Can you clarify that please?
Has domain1.com been verified within an Atlassian Organization, and are the accounts under that domain claimed?
Has domain2.com be verified within an Atlassian Organization?
Does an Atlassian account already exist for the domain2.com email address?
