Migrate confluence license to other Server

hello,

i'm planning to migrate my Confluence Server to another Host(AWS EC2), 

Is possible to Migrate the actual License (VALID UNTIL 2022) to the new Server?

Dear @dachel.cusco

no problem, when you migrate the dump to the new server. If its just the license you need to re-issue the license with the new Server ID generated, when starting a Confluence server from scratch.

The old server is than not update-able anymore, because the license is bound to exactly one Server ID.

Thank you, Yes i have a new Server, but how do I generate the License with the new Server ID?
Do I need to hear support?

Dear @dachel.cusco ,

this seems to be changed during the past years. The Server ID is not bound any more to the license. You can just paste the license when asked during the installation process.

Re-issuing the license key is required for evaluation licenses, only!
