Merge two confluence instances

I'm looking for a way to merge two confluence instances together. Both are cloud.

I tried exporting and importing a space, using this method: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/import-a-confluence-cloud-space/

I exported to XML, as suggested in the doc.

After I imported, the links between pages in the imported space still referred back to the pages in the original instance, instead of updating.

• Is there an easier way to merge two confluence instances where the links will update?
• Some images didn't import. Is there a reason for this?

Also, some images imported and some didn't. Is there a reason this would happen during an import?
