Hello Everyone,
Hi everyone, I’m Dheeraj Sudan from the UK. I’m a software developer and also run a startup with my wife Meenu Hinduja. We’re planning a change in SharePoint that will result in an updated SharePoint URL (the Confluence base URL will remain unchanged). Is there an effective or centralized way to bulk update all existing SharePoint links across Confluence spaces and pages so they point to the new SharePoint URL?
Thanks,
Meenu Hinduja & Dheeraj Sudan
Hi @Meenu Hinduja _ Dheeraj Sudan ,
Unfortunately, there isn't something like that out of the box. There are these two feature requests that are related to what you're looking for:
These are related to Cloud, but the same limitation affects DC.
If you're on DC, potentially you could do some kind of 'bulk update' via the database (maybe with the addition of AI), but generally speaking, you'd probably need some kind of custom solution to do this update. 👀
Maybe REST API (again, you can find a reference for DC REST API) would also be some kind of solution, but I don't think we've ever built a script that would do such a thing.
Atlassian Support probably has these or similar scripts ready; it's just a question if they are willing to share them. 🤔
Cheers,
Tobi
Thanks Tomislav for your Valuable reply
Thanks

There was an eerily similar question asked just hours prior...
There's an app for Cloud (as @Stavros_Rougas_EasyApps pointed to). And in my answer in the linked thread, I point to an app that was available on Server - but it seems it's no longer supported to due to the end of life for Server years ago.

@Meenu Hinduja _ Dheeraj Sudan we have created a tool to bulk update links across Confluence. Space Content Manager app is cloud only, I'm not sure if you are planning a migration.
