I have a confluence page which has some expand macros. When I emailed the page using send page plugin, the email displays all the sections as expanded. I want the email to show the the expand buttons so that the users can go to the page or click on the button to expand.

Hello there! Thanks for reaching out Madhuri.

I tried the process using Mail Page, from //SEIBERT/MEDIA:

Atlassian Marketplace - Mail Page

The behaviour was indeed the same. There was no setting in the plugin that would allow this to change. Maybe reaching out directly to them provides some workaround:

//SEIBERT/MEDIA Support

Further, this could be happening due to the fact that Confluence is the one responsible for rendering the Macros as we see them and the add-on is not capable of transferring this render to the email generated.

Let us know your thoughts!
