Hi,
This is about Loom (I couldn’t find a dedicated category).
I accidentally created a subscription, never used it, didn’t add any payment details, and have since canceled it. The plan was then automatically upgraded from a free trial to the Starter plan.
Could I still be charged for that unused subscription, or is there anything else I need to do to avoid charges?
Thanks!
Hello and welcome to the Community @Ziv Ariely
No. Normally no. I wouldn't worry Here.
If you want absolute confirmation on the billing account itself, that is one for Atlassian Billing, because nobody in the community can see your actual invoices.
Hi @Ziv Ariely, Welcome to the Community!
I completely agree with Arkadiusz, you don’t need to worry about being charged if you never entered your payment details.
As far as I know, Atlassian products allow you to start a free trial without entering payment details. After the trial period (14 days for Loom), your plan will be automatically downgraded to the Free plan.
You can refer to this from the Loom Billing FAQ:
What happens at the end of my Business or Enterprise free trial?
If you choose not to start a subscription for Business or Enterprise, you'll lose access to Business and Enterprise features after your trial is up (14 days for Business, on a case-by-case basis for Enterprise) and your account will be downgraded to Loom's Starter (free) version.
How do I move from a free trial to a paid plan?
You can enter payment information at any point during your trial in your Plan & Billing settings. You won't be charged until your trial is over. Business plans have a 14-day trial, whereas Enterprise trials can be arranged on a case-by-case basis with our sales team.
Hope it helps 🙌
