after getting confluence set up.  I am unable to login using my admin account.  It takes me to a captcha and continually ask me to re-enter my information.  Can I just re-install and start from scratch?

You can either reset admin password: https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf57/restoring-passwords-to-recover-admin-user-rights-701435450.html

 

Or clean out the confluence home and database to start over.
