Live search filter not working

Using the Confluence Search option at the top of the screen. 

As soon as you start typing the search box starts to populate strait away.

When I use the Livesearch macro the macro only starts populating one you have completed a whole word.

Confluence server version 6.2.3

The quick search doesn't use the same technology as Live Search and thus it isn't currently expected to work that way, but we do have a feature request for this:

• CONFSERVER-39920
