Linking/Chaining Documentation

Is it possible to link two documents so that when I update one, a record is created on another effectively updating both documents?

Adding a Macro is good information for standard documentation and thank you. I should have been more clear in my question. 

The documents I am trying to link would be a service desk document (or ticket) to another document I have stored in Confluence. I am not seeing the ability to add a macro from one project to another. Is this functionality available between these two?
