How can I reference to a text field in a parent page ?

The parent page has the information in a text field. For example a serial number.

The serial number must be filled in on all the child pages.

When will the child pages be created? 

You could use Page Properties Macro (hidden) on the parent page, which contains the serial number and on the child pages a Page Properties Report Macro containing the matching field (serial number) listed in the Parent Field.
