Link to Parent Issue showing as plain text, not a link.

Landon Greenleaf June 9, 2025

I have a page in confluence to track issues in Jira, and information is shared to confluence via a Jira macro displayed as a table. In the Jira issues, there are Parent Links and Linked Issues. When selecting fields to be displayed on the table in the confluence page, the Linked Issues show up properly as links, but the Parent Links are showing up as plain text, even though they are links in the Jira Issues. Not sure why one would work but not the other.

Which macro are you using?

In the "Jira work Item" macro you can create a filter and add "Parent" as a column and it will provide a clickable link to the parent issue.

I'm using this Macro, I searched "Jira work Item" and no macro came up.

Ah ok, that looks like the icon for "Jira Legacy"-macro but in any case you should be able to see clickable links for your parents

If you open the macro and click on "Display options", do you have "Parent" as one of the options to display?
