I have saved link preferences for "Inline" ages ago, and they continue to not be honoured.... every Figma link pasted defaults to Embed. So I go check my preferences, and sure enough still "Inline" as my saved preference - just never being honoured.
PS. might be related - (?) - I have to keep accepting that annoying purple cookie banner every couple of days. I would think for cookies after having my acceptance once you'd never want to ask again!!!
@Stephen Atkinson Hmm... Now that you mention it, I'm experiencing the same/similar thing with Loom links. My preferences are also set to Display Inline, but Loom automatically embeds. 👀
On the other hand, other links display properly (like 99%)... It might be worth checking this with the official Atlassian Support team. If you cannot raise a ticket, you can ask one of your Confluence admins to do it for you. 👈
As for cookies, it could be due to company policy and/or the device you're using, but if you have an IT department, maybe they could take a look at it. For me, once I accept cookies for one site, the banner does not reappear until I clear cache/cookies or switch browsers.
Cheers,
Tobi
Thanks Tobi for the quick reply.
I came here as our admins loathe having to reach out to Atlassian support due to the experience! They avoid it at all costs.
hopefully some Atlassian staff in the community can help otherwise I'll have to buy our admins a beer to log a ticket for me

@Stephen Atkinson actually, I played around with this in the meantime, and it would seem that if you add specific domain (e.g. loom.com) to exceptions, then system will actually respect this configuration 👀
Can you try it out with Figma and see what happens?

@TOB the Exceptions approach worked! thanks for this workaround. Hopefully Atlassian read these pages and can fix it properly.
Thanks again man!
