Limit acccess to directory for specific users

Hey guys,

we'd like to allow some student's to document their project within our confluence. As they're not members of the company we don't want them to be able to browse the user list nor the user Profiles (ore something close to that).

Is there any possibility for that?

There is no way to restrict that in confluence (JIRA for example has a permission controlling if a user can "browse" users, but confluence don't)

There is a bug logged about that here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-1882 where you can find some workarounds for solving the problem.
