Jira issue macro performance degrades significantly with custom fields.

We using Confluence 6.13.8 (against Jira 7.13.9 running on the same server) and have discovered that the performance of the Jira issue macro declines significantly when you choose to display custom fields in the results.

For example, we have one instance of this macro that has sub-second return time when we only include native Jira fields (E.g. assignee, due date, etc.) for 57 returned issues. However, when we add five columns of custom fields (all of the standard type "Text Field (single line)") the same macro is taking 20-25 seconds to display the same 57 issues.

Is this typical performance of this macro for custom fields? Is there anything that can be done to improve this?

For what it's worth: this is because of CONFSERVER-56017.
