Issues with searching for text within PDF attachment

Hello,

I am having trouble searching for text within an attached PDF doc. Could this have something to do with the document previously being a PNG file? Thank you!

Answer accepted

Yes. If the PDF was created from an image then there is no text actually in the PDF and hence you don't get anything in search results. I believe in Acrobat Pro there is an option to do OCR on the image and store a text rendition along with the pdf for search-ability. It stores it hidden in the PDF and should be indexed by the search engine.
