We are going to build a project workflow model using Confluence / JIRA at our company and are wondering if there is any approval process workflow within Confluence or if it is best to use JIRA for this?
Dear @Ashley Schafer.
as far as I can remember, there was a Confluence plugin that added some kind of approval to Confluence.
Of cause you can build your own workflow in Jira that allows approvals, but then Confluence pages are just linked to Jira issues. If you would like to forbid eg. editing of pages automatically, that is not possible that easy.

Hi Thomas -
Can you advise what that plugin is called and/or provide the link to it?
Thanks,

He probably means Comala Workflows - we shall see when he replies but I couldn't resist barging in. :)

Dear @Ashley Schafer and @AnnWorley,
it was in 2013 when we used a Confluence plugin for this approval - but I already left this company and cannot any more remember - probably it has been taken from the marketplace, meanwhile.
It wasn't Comala Workflows, but probably this is fine.
What about DocuSign for Confluence eSignatures?
