Is there a way to use a variable in Excerpt Include macro

Hi,

I am creating a template that consists only of Excerpt Include macros.
The macros include information from page(s) in a private space into a page in a public space.

My goal is to have template variable that populates the Page Containing the Excerpt field of the macros when a page is created from the template.

There is no way to use variables in macros.
