Is there a way to upload images from desktop rather than image URLs for Confluence forge apps?

I am looking to implement a method to upload files from a local desktop onto Confluence through a forge app. Currently, the only method I have found is the upload through URLs.

I am aware that there was a question asked a few years ago regarding this and was wondering if there has been any functionality added to allow for this since then?

Hi @Niamh Crossan 

If I understand correctly, there are currently 2 issues with direct file upload with Forge:

• binary data are not well supported
• there is a 25 second runtime limit, and you need to both upload the file and save it to Confluence within this time limit

Atlassian is working on a new Forge runtime, which probably will solve the first issue.
