Is there a way to stop the auto linking in Confluence that links strings like "rXXXX" with Jira?

Edward Brown
November 25, 2012

For example, the following strings without quotes get linked apparently to Jira: "r99286", "r1", "r77". If the "r" is upper case, the system won't link it. I'm looking for a way to turn this functionality off, ideally on a page by page basis. I have some strings in a Confluence page that contain such sequences but have nothing to do with Jira data.
