Anchors are used heavily on the pages in our Confluence page but not all editors have access to all pages. This makes linking to anchors tricky when the section that needs lining to is on a page that the specific editor has no edit rights to in order to check the anchor name.
Is there a way to display the anchors that a specific page as without having to be in edit mode?
Hi Anja,
I understand you'd like to see where the anchors on a page are located without opening the editor.
The best way to do this is to go to > View source from the page. This will open a new window that essentially shows a snapshot of the page content as it shows in the editor (without the ability to edit it). Even users who don't have edit permission should be able to do this.
I hope this helps!

Hi @Anja Bergau ,
Anchors are by default invisible to the user, so the only workaround I could come up is to install a browser plug-in/extension/add-on to show them. There are few available depending the web browser editors uses.
Hope it helps.
