Is there a way to render a dynamic status macro in a Jira/Issue Filter macro

We have different statuses that we track like Risk status. This could be "Risk Identified", "Risk Confirmed", "High Risk", "Low Risk", etc. Based on JQL, we render the Jira Issue Filter results in a confluence page for the project/steerco page as appropriate. 

I've created a scripted field to return html and can return color text that renders. The status macro would look much nicer.

Any ideas on if/how this can be done?

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to do that within the JIra/Issue Filter macro.  You could submit a feature request here: https://jira.atlassian.com/
